10 April 2007

Howdy all.  I know it has been four months since the site has been updated, but that is a combination of factors.  One, I am deployed again and I can't update the site from aboard ship so it has to wait until I'm in a port where I have the bandwidth to do so.  Second - Chris has been busy with his day job and just isn't in a position to worry too much about the school.  He did however get a fly rod into the hands of Clint Goodwin who caught an asp, which he calls "Saddam Bass" in the ponds. Don't let that uniform fool you, Clint is another "Sandbox" Sailor like I was.

Clint had this to say:

Good to hear from a fellow fly guy.  I caught the "Saddam Bass" on 23 March 2007.  Weighed ten
pounds then shrank in the sun - really.

Another Iraqi Asp falls to a fly rod.

Don't forget to sign the guest book, if you have not. It is up and running and folks are starting to add their comments.

That is it for this update, check in again and see how we are doing.

Fish on!  Joel
