Bill has been pretty busy, so I thought I'd go ahead and give all of you an update. Things continue to go well for the school. Bill continues to find time in his schedule to get out on the water and pass on the pleasure of fly fishing to his fellow Soldiers. He has gotten a great deal of support from the home front, keeping the school stocked with flies, equipment and fly tying supplies.
The school has recently gotten some more attention, as it made the front page of the Chicago Tribune on Wednesday. Aamer Madhani is a reporter for the Tribune who was in Iraq earlier this year. He discovered Bill and his gang of long rodders and decided to write a piece on the school. I've posted a link to the PDF files below. This same article ran on the front page of the San Diego Union Tribune a few days later.

Field and Stream Radio is interested in an interview, I am still trying to decide on that. Hard to believe that this has gotten so far along, and it hasn't even been a year yet since I had the idea.
I'm also getting a lot of letters, so I will begin to post some of them here on the site. This is starting to get big enough that I may have to start splitting up the reports.
Thanks for taking the time to check up on the school, and please feel free to drop us a line. Though I am not in Iraq, I make sure that Bill gets the messages and will continue to pass on his updates. All the best, Joel

That is it for this update, check in again and see how we are doing.

Fish on!  Joel
